The clients are a married couple who share their home with two pet parrots. The husband prefers interior design styles defined by rounded lines and warm textures, alongside specialized finishes such as PANDOMO and artistic paints. The wife desired a clean, bright domestic environment with maximized storage efficiency. Together, they envisioned a home where art integrates into daily life, allowing them to enjoy a peaceful, harmonious lifestyle within an environment that fully accommodates aging parents and cherished pets.
During execution, the designer artfully employed curved geometries and a whole-home smart configuration to evoke a soft, elegant tone. The space begins at the entryway, where irregular light sources illuminate the warm yellow hues of the painted finish. In the living area's lounge space, the designer opted for indirect lighting, replacing conventional fixtures with rounded-corner millwork and angled aluminum LED strips to soften the illumination. This design choice also ensures that the avian family members do not fly into blind spots, eliminating safety hazards.
The project synthesizes the needs of both humans and birds, utilizing distinct color palettes and material changes to guide movement. This defines clear functions for each area while erasing harsh boundaries, keeping family connection and relaxation in a constant, fluid state.
