Gemforge Collection reimagines the legend of the Sword in the Stone through a contemporary mechanical watch collection that merges mythology, material individuality, and refined craftsmanship. Rather than relying on nostalgic medieval styling, the design translates Arthurian symbolism into a bold yet wearable modern form.
At the heart of the collection are dials crafted from jewellery-grade natural gemstones, each selected for its unique depth, texture, and mineral character. Because no two stones share the same pattern or colour composition, every watch becomes inherently one of a kind. This natural variation transforms each timepiece from a standard product into a personal collectible with emotional and visual singularity.
The wider design language extends this narrative throughout the watch. The case and crown take inspiration from a gem-set sword hilt, while the bezel geometrically interprets the form of a dragon. The hands are also inspired by the Sword in the Stone legend, reinforcing the collection’s central story through subtle but distinctive shaping and detail. Their diamond-cut construction and dual-finished surfaces further enhance legibility under changing light.
The mechanical dimension of the collection is equally intentional. Powered by the Japanese Miyota 8315 automatic movement with a 60-hour power reserve, the watch features a display back revealing a specially designed double dragon rotor, allowing the mythic concept to continue on the reverse side rather than ending at the dial. This integration of story and mechanics gives the collection depth beyond surface styling.
The ecosystem around the watch was considered as part of the same visual world. The Japanese NBR rubber strap, developed in collaboration with Viking totem artist Arkadiy Welesov, draws further inspiration from the Sword in the Stone legend while combining comfort, durability, and everyday practicality.
Gemforge Collection is not simply a timekeeper. It is a contemporary design object where narrative, craftsmanship, and natural uniqueness are forged into one coherent whole.
