2026 Zhonggang Canal Projection Mapping — Starlight Galaxy

Using light as the medium and water as the carrier, the project creates a walkable narrative environment of light, where illumination transcends functionality and becomes a medium of emotion, memory, and imagination.
The spatial experience unfolds through a central theme—“Journey Through the Galaxy”—structured into four immersive zones:
Prologue of Light | Luminous Genesis:
Flowing light patterns initiate the journey, guiding visitors into a realm of illumination and symbolizing the rebirth of the city.
Starlit Icefield | Realm of Wishes:
Iceberg forms and shimmering starlight compose a serene and pure environment, embodying collective hopes for the future.
Galaxy Passage | Flowing Fantasia:
Illuminated windmills, schools of fish, and dynamic light beams create a kinetic landscape, reflecting the rhythm of life and urban vitality.
Floral Constellation | Blooming Radiance:
Light compositions inspired by flowers and clouds form a poetic and gentle finale, where wishes metaphorically blossom in light.
Through layered lighting design and continuous spatial transitions, visitors do not merely observe—but actively participate in a luminous journey of urban regeneration, ecological harmony, and emotional connection.
Under the theme “Starlit Zhonggang · Dreamlike Galaxy,” the exhibition connects four major bridges—Xinfu Bridge, Xingfu Bridge, Changsheng Bridge, and Changlong Bridge—transforming the entire waterfront into a continuous immersive light environment.
The project’s defining feature lies in its ability to reinterpret urban water restoration through the language of light art. What was once a polluted drainage channel is now an ecological and recreational corridor, further activated at night through artistic illumination, giving the space renewed identity and vitality.
At the core stands the iconic installation “Tree of Radiance,” reaching 7 meters in height, serving as both a visual focal point and symbolic landmark of energy convergence and urban hope. Surrounding it, layered light corridors, dynamic lighting systems, and interactive installations form a flowing visual axis reminiscent of a galaxy.
By integrating public art, landscape design, and interactive technology, the Zhonggang corridor evolves from a functional passageway into a culturally rich, emotionally engaging, and tourism-oriented nighttime destination—an open stage for collective urban experience.
