Nested Intimacy proposes a new model for multi-unit housing that redefines the relationship between individual privacy and collective living. Organized as a modular aggregation of cubic units, the project forms a larger architectural system composed of nested spatial hierarchies.

At the core of the proposal is a system of layered thresholds - adjustable envelopes that mediate light, air, visibility, and acoustic conditions. Rather than treating the façade as a static boundary, the building envelope becomes an active interface, allowing residents to calibrate their level of engagement with the surrounding community.

This dynamic system generates a gradient of spatial conditions, ranging from intimate domestic interiors to shared communal environments. Through this approach, the project rethinks housing not as a fixed arrangement of units, but as a responsive framework that accommodates diverse lifestyles and evolving patterns of living.

By integrating environmental responsiveness with spatial adaptability, Nested Intimacy offers a scalable prototype for contemporary residential design - one that balances individuality and collectivity through architectural form.
