Between light and wood

It discards ostentatious decorations and redundant forms, aiming to create a realm that can stand the test of time and engage in deep dialogue with the inner world of its inhabitants. The ultimate goal of the design is not limited to visual simplicity; instead, within the framework of "less is more", it creates a textured life filled with warmth and tranquility through the delicate interaction of core elements, allowing the space itself to become a vessel for emotions and memories.
The core highlight of the design lies in shaping light as the soul and narrator of the space. We regard natural light as the most precious material, introducing it into the interior to the greatest extent possible through large-scale windows and floor-to-ceiling glass. Light drifts and flows across the space with the passage of time, casting delicate light spots on the warm oak wood floors and sketching ever-changing window shadows on the plain walls.
Complementing this perfectly is the carefully constructed wooden-toned foundation. The warm texture and natural grain of wood lay a warm and composed tone for the space. It is not a monotonous background, but a collaborator of light—the wooden hue softly reflects and diffuses light, transforming both the crispness of natural light and the warmth of artificial light into a cozy, enveloping feeling. The use of this material and color aims to evoke people’s emotional resonance with nature, simplicity and traces of time.
As dusk falls, the lighting design quietly shifts its role and enters another poetic dimension. We abandon uniform all-over brightness, and instead adopt warm low-color-temperature spotlights and layered local lighting. This light environment with alternating light and shadow and rhythmic variations not only greatly enhances the three-dimensionality and layering of the space, but also creates tranquil zones ideal for contemplation, relaxation or intimate conversations, ultimately achieving the gentle comfort and emotional connection that light brings to the human heart.
